When people consider investing internationally, they often are looking for high-yield investments and are willing to accept some risk for reward in these markets.
We also believe that emerging markets also possess very strong lower-risk lower yield investments. Because of this, we have created a class of investment opportunities we call “capital preservation motivated” real estate investments. These opportunities are specially geared in light of the present economic circumstances to provide investment options for the security minded investor.
We’ve adopted a preferred strategy for our capital preservation investments. For these opportunities we look to purchase raw land situated in strategic locations near economically growing areas. We will purchase the land and hold the property for approximately five years expecting to enjoy the natural appreciation of the property realized due to the gradual growth of the regional economy over 5 year segments of time. We believe the economy of favored areas of Latin America is a reasonable and conservative expectation due to many factors including the growth of the middle class in these locales.
We also believe our capital preservation strategy represents a simple and conservative investment strategy.
